ZSOG works closely with the national universities in providing up to date education and skills training in the field. The association also works with the Ministry of Health and Child Care in developing and implementing programmes that improve women’s health. The association also represents its members in various committees set up by regulatory and representative bodies such as the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ), Health Profession Council (HPC). The association also negotiates with medical insurers and sets standard medical tariffs that are fair for its members and the patients.
